Ministry of Power Energy is planning to launch an Integrated Marketing Communications IMC programme to change the mass consciousness of energy users to encourage rational use of energy in Sri Lanka. Under this programme, the Ministry has declared an Energy conservation month from 16th May 2015 to 15th June 2015. As an implementing agency, Ceylon Electricity Board has conducted awareness programmes on energy efficiency in Katunayaka Export Processing Zone KEPZ on 29th May 2015 and in Biyagama Export Processing Zone BEPZ on 10th June 2015.

Ronald Comester; Deputy General Manager Research Development of CEB made a presentation on Energy Efficiency in Industry Electrical and Eng. Sanath Kithsiri ; from Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority made a presentation on Energy Efficiency in Industry Thermal. After a lengthy question/answer session, Eng. Ravindra Gunathilaka of CEB thanked all who facilitated this event to be success.
