With the intention of providing an improved service to the public through effective electricity system management, the new National System Control Center of Ceylon Electricity Board was declared open on 16th May 2018 by His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, the President of Sri Lanka. The opening ceremony was graced by Hon Minister of Power and Renewable Energy Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and Hon Deputy Minister of Power and Renewable Energy Ajith P. Perera. Chairman of Ceylon Electricity Board Mr. W. B. Ganegala, General Manager of Ceylon Electricity Board Eng. A K. Samarasinghe and many CEB officials attended the function.
