Research & Development Branch conducted the second forum of presentation on progress of research work at the auditorium of the Research & Development Branch on 13th October 2015.
Eng. Ronald Comester; Deputy General Manger (Research & Development) welcomed all the participants. Eng. M.C. Wickramasekara; General Manager of CEB, Eng. Bandula Tilakasena; Additional General Manager (Corporate Strategy) made remarks at the opening of the forum.
The progress of ongoing four researches namely,
- “Governor health index development to assess the condition” by Eng. D.P. Ariyasinghe,
- “Moisture analysis in transformer insulation” by Eng. N.S. Jayaweera, Eng. Pradeep Nandasena, Eng. D.S. Daluagala,
- “Prepare a health index of power transformers based on DGA test results” by Eng. J.R. Sellahandi, Eng. K. Udugahapaththuwa, Eng. A.D.G. Chandrasena
- “Condition assessment of transformers using tan delta assessment of windings and bushings” by Eng. K.G. Hemarathne, Eng. P.S.A. Peries, Eng. N.S. Manamperi. were presented at the occasion.
Eng. V.B. Wejekoon also made a presentation on three topics on distribution sector, on which he had researched earlier. A question and answer session was also followed each presentation which facilitated the participants to express their comments on the research work. At the end of the program Eng. L. K. Fernando; Chief Engineer (Research & Development) thanked all who facilitated this event to be successes.
