The annual Aloka Pooja held by Ceylon Electricity Board in celebration of Poson festival, was held at Giri Handu Seya with the displaying of sacred relics of Lord Buddha. Giri Handu Se Alooka Pooja was declared open by Deputy General Manager (East) Eng. Saman Weerasinghe, Former Deputy General Manager T. Thavaneshwaran, Chief Engineer M. A. Abepala and the president of Eastern Buddhist Society of Ceylon Electricity Board Aruna I. Nishantha. Many CEB officials participated in the Alooka Pooja.
